Security when you are at home
Most families think about installing a home alarm system to be activated when they are at work and school. Your home security system can be on standby when you are at home, asleep or just relaxing with your family. Each basic home burglary system usually has door and window sensors, which are tripped when the doors or windows are opened, and a motion detector. When you leave your home, all of the components are activated. You can, however, bypass your motion detector in most home security systems to arm your system when you are sleeping or aren’t planning to leave your home. Having the security system on, especially overnight, often gives single homeowners and seniors piece of mind. However, parents can arm the system to bypass the motion detector if they have a child staying at home sick from school. Bypassing the motion detector is simple enough that you can even teach your latchkey kids how to arm the system until you get home from work. When you bypass the motion detector, all of the doors and windows monitored in your home alarm system are armed. The motion detector, the part of your home security system that trips the alarm when it senses movement in a particular part of your home, is deactivated so you can move freely around the house. Check your home security system’s instruction manual to find out how to bypass your motion detector. Copyright © 2004 HomeAlarmSecuritySystems.com |
